Objective

To train personnel in being able to assist their employees in fulfilling their responsibilities under the Manual Handling Regulations 1992 by assessing the risks of manual handling situations and deciding the safest course of action.

Certificate of attendance (Continuation training is recommended)

Syllabus

Legal framework for The Health and Safety at Work (Manual Handling Regulations 1992), risk assessments, safe practice and regulations, anatomy of the spine, common spinal/back injuries, their prevention and immediate treatment, correct lifting techniques.
